Pelikan indian inks are available in several (1984: 10) translucent and 3 opaque tones. The indian inks are thin liquid, waterproof, do not fray on paper. They tolerate soft erasers, but can also be removed with appropriate erasers. The shades 17, 18 and 50 are fade-resistant and permanent.
Black ink (17) is well-suited for black-and-white drawings because of its opacity and deep blackness, especially when working with the nib, drawing nib or brush, but not for a fountain pen. It can be diluted well with water.
Black Special (50) has been optimized for a fountain pen. Like black (17) it is deep black and covers well. It is quick-drying and erasure-resistant, adheres well to drawing film. Replaces the variants of black (17) from 1965.
Colored ink (1 to 16) are luminous, miscible, sandable and dilutable with water. Unfortunately they are not lightfast.
Colored inks (51 to 56) are also miscible and dilutable with water, but also opaque, light-stable (permanent) and for blueprint. Suitable also for a fountain pen.

¹ The color representation is to be understood as an example, since it isphysically not possible to specify binding (obligation) colors. Scanners provide different color values, there is a dependency on the light and the display is different on different screens, moreover, screens can not represent all material colors. By various external influences, e.g. the age of inks or the paint application it will further change the look.

The ink Z is apparently a spin-off of the opaque "special" colors of ink A, recognizable by the light blue label. It was designed for use with the drawing pens on paper and cardboard. It should only dry on paper and thus prevent the usual encrustations of the pen. It is water-resistant, non-fading, opaque and reproducible. After the disappearance of the ink Z from the market, the color 50 could possibly be part of the product series ink A.

Professional shades for sophisticated drawing on drawing sheets, such as durable design drawings. In some cases, the surface of some films must be dissolved to absorb the color. Was replaced by the drawing ink F.
For this purpose, the diluent V, also as a cleaning agent for the drawing tools, was developed.
T - For rather fine lines, even for less absorbent paper **
TN - Same as T but for gelatin coated drawing paper **
TT - Like T, but for polyester films **
C - covering in the finest lines, waterproof only after a few weeks **
V - diluent for the above variants **

Cheap painting and design color for hobby and profession. Lightfast and waterproof. Very fine pigments, therefore also suitable for special ink fountain pen and airbrush. The color numbers do not match the classic ink A or Z.
The ink black (28) and white (26) are opaque.
Colored inks (2 to 24 and 30) are translucent, for opaque effect mixing with black (28) or white (26) is recommended.
Cleaner / Cleaning Fluid RL to eliminate "stubborn cases" on the drawing instruments.
